TESL Canada Educational Foundation
The TESL Canada Educational Foundation was registered as a charity in 1992.
Purposes of the Foundation
- To fund, facilitate, promote activities, research and teaching which will promote and facilitate the learning of English as an additional language
- To hold, invest, administer and distribute funds and property for the purposes of the society as presently set out and for such other organizations as are "qualified donors" under the provisions of the Income Tax Act and for such other purposes. and activities which are authorized for registered charities under the provisions of the Income Tax Act. The directors in their sole and absolute discretion may refuse to accept any bequests, trusts, funds or property; and
- To do all such things as are incidental and ancillary to the attainment of the purposes and the exercise of the powers of the Society.

The TESL Canada Educational Foundation is now funding two Professional Learning Participation Grants and one TCEF TESL Scholarship for eligible members:
The TCEF is pleased to offer the $250 TCEF Professional Learning Participation Grant to support two TESL Canada members to participate in an in-person or online professional learning opportunity and the $500 TCEF TESL Scholarship to support a TESL Canada member who is currently enrolled, or has interest in enrolling, in a TESL initial training program (Standard 1) or who plans to enrol in an advanced training program (Standard 2 or 3) in order to enhance their professional qualifications and expertise.
